SSSEHV INTERMEDIATE COURSE Level 2

Dear prospective student

The information below provides you with all you need to know about the above course before you decide to register.

This course is a progression from the SSSEHV Introductory Course (Level 1) and the SSSSE (BV) Teacher Training Course, both of which represented the “budding” stage of the transformation process. The Intermediate Course will allow the “blossoming” stage of the transformation process to unfold to bring about greater character development and self-transformation. 


COURSE OBJECTIVES

Knowledge

  • To expand participant’s knowledge of the content and the interrelationship of each subject area

  • To introduce topics that lead to greater understanding of teaching and instruction with respect to their application to Sathya Sai Education.

 

Ability

  • To expand the ability to apply the principles of Sathya Sai Education in the school, community, home or workplace and initiate a project with the oversight of the SSSIESA.

  • To expand the ability to incorporate SSSEHV in the classroom/school/ any other environment. 

  • To make a personal commitment to strive to become an exemplar of the universal  human values thereby experiencing self-transformation.


Course Two provides a more in-depth exploration of the topics in Course One, expanding the participant’s understanding of the interrelationship of each topic, deepening the understanding of the role of Sathya Sai Educare as well as the ability to apply what has been learned, and a commitment to strive to be an exemplar of the universal human values.

Who Is It For?

All participants in Course Two must have taken Course One -SSSEHV Introductory Certificate Course or SSSE (BV) Certificate Course. If you wish to continue to actively apply the principles of Sathya Sai Education in your respective roles and see an increase in your personal transformation, then this course is for you. It is recommended for SSSSE (Balvikas) and SSSEHV teachers and those who would like to go on to be SSSSE Coordinators.

Time-Frame

  • The minimum requirement for Course Two consists of 48 hours of direct instruction and further follow-up sessions, based on the assessed needs of the participants, as determined by the SSSIESA Training Team. 

  • The course runs over 1 year and is divided into 3 Modules each of which is based on a theme. Each module will be covered over a period of 3 months and a letter of completion will be issued to all  students who complete that Module. 

  • On successful completion of Module 1 students may continue with Module 2 and the same rule above will apply allowing successful students to continue with Module 3.. 

  • Students who successfully complete all 3 modules will qualify for graduation and certification.

  • There will be a 1 month break between Module 1 & Module 2 (in July)and between Module 2 & Module 3 (in November). Module 3 will end in February 2026.

  • Students who are unable to continue with further modules will be credited with the modules completed and may opt to do them the following year.
    The credit will only apply for a year.

Presentation of the Course

  1. The course will be fully online. 

  2. Each module will comprise 3 online sessions (1 per month) of duration  3 hours each. 

  3. Each of these sessions will take place on a Saturday afternoon from 2:30 pm -5:30 pm. (A year planner will be provided).  

  4. Each successful student is required to do  a final oral presentation at the end of Module 3.  

  5. Every student will be expected to engage in research and presentation/co-teaching of selected topics. 

Compulsory Assignments

Students will be required to complete the following compulsory assignments/tasks in order to qualify for certification:

  1. Formal Assignments will include research and experiential exercises as well as the Final oral presentation. Minimum pass requirement is 70%

  2. Informal Assignments include Ungraded Self-audits (1 per module), mini Quizzes in each module and 2 ungraded quizzes on leadership. Quizzes require a minimum pass  of 80%. 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS & INFORMATION

Students will need to comply with the following:

  • Have access to a stable internet as well as sufficient data to attend online sessions.

  • Be computer literate.

  • Have a clear understanding of the Philosophy of Sri Sathya Sai Education as outlined in Course 1.

  • Constantly engage with Course 1 material in order to gain a better understanding of your transformation journey.

  • Constantly do a self-audit to ensure the practice of human values and other aspects from Course 1.

  • Be fully committed to actively participating in all tasks and assignments

  • Create opportunities for personal growth as well as growth of your organization, work environment, family structure, etc.  

  • Bring the 5 transformation techniques consciously to the fore by including some/all as often as possible in your daily life. 

  • Make constant reference to the  Learner Guide and Assessment Guide to track your progress.

  • Ensure all assignments are posted to Google classroom timeously to avoid penalties. 

  • Make alternate, prior arrangements, in the event of load-shedding or power outages, to attend all sessions. Load shedding affects all of us, hence Load shedding will not be an acceptable excuse for missing a session.   

  • Students are allowed to miss only ONE session (excluding the first and last). A medical certificate or letter of explanation for absence must be provided within 3 days of absence. This will be subject to approval by the SSSIESA Board.

SUPPORT
Peer groups will be set up for mutual support. In addition each student will be assigned a mentor who will form a whatsapp group for ease of communication.
